See-n-Read

Today we received our See-n-Read in the mail. I couldn't purchase them in Australia so I decided to get a few to see if they are beneficial for the early or late readers who need assistance.

I love them. They are light and easy to handle. They really block out the glare off the page and help to focus on one line. I think I might find myself using them at night when I start drifting around the page because I'm tired but really want to finish the chapter.

It's too early too see if they are beneficial for E yet since I am de-schooling him I can't make him sit and read. Maybe I could find a way to sneak it into a game this week. I will post an update once we have given this new tool a fair go.
Links to purchase the See-n-Read can be found here ->

  1. Hhhmm, I've never seen these before. I think they would be beneficial to all learning to read. And for those 'burning the midnight oil'. :)

I've just finished the pricing and they all come in under $4 for this early shipment.
So far I'm really happy with the product and pricing...just need to get it out 'there'.
Do you know anyone who might like to do a review for a free product?

  5. Hi Paula,I initially saw a post from you that come through one of my homeschool email links and then came here to your blog. I couldn't find anywhere on here to message you privately. I'd like to buy a set of the See-n-Read please. If you could let me know how to do that would be great thanks. Really enjoy reading your blog....seems funny as we obviously have much in common and our 10yr old son sounds like a mirror image of yours. He is Aspie with Tourette's Syndrome and some intellectual impairment. We follow the path of Natural learning at home and also struggle hugely with reading writing etc. Maybe we could encourage that in our boys by them becoming pen pals or something ( just a thought).
Anwyay, look fwd to hearing from you. Cheers Janelle

  7. Hi, is it too late to do a review on my blog?
I was thinking of making something like this - the developmental optometrist who did the reading/VAS testing on my son suggested we move from a bookmark to a transparent ruler, but this would be even better as any amount of glare is a problem as well as staying on the right line.
